Simple Green Chili Sambal
Ingredients
- 100g green chili
- 8 shallots
- 2 slices of asam sundai or lime
- 4 tablespoons coconut oil or vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
Preparation
Coarsely pound the green chilies, salt, and shallots, then drizzle with the juice from asam sundai or lime.
Warm the coconut oil or vegetable oil and pour it over the sambal mixture.
Tips
Use oil that is just warm, not hot, to maintain the vibrant color.
Serve with omelette or salted fish for a tasty accompaniment.
