Steamed Tofu Wrap

Ingredients

  • 10 white tofu blocks
  • Banana leaves as needed
  • Toothpicks or staples
  • 1 egg
  • Basil leaves as needed
  • Tomato as needed
  • Chilies as needed
  • 3 red onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Salt as needed
  • Sugar as needed
  • Stock powder as needed

Preparation

  1. Heat the steamer.

  2. In a bowl, mix the tofu with the ground onions, salt, stock powder, and a little sugar. Stir and taste.

  3. Add the egg, basil leaves, and sliced tomato. Stir until well combined.

  4. Prepare the banana leaves by cleaning them and using a double layer to prevent leaking.

  5. Take 1-2 tablespoons of the mixture, add a few whole chilies, wrap in the leaves, and secure with toothpicks or staples. Repeat until all mixture is used.

  6. Steam for 15-20 minutes until cooked.
