Belen Tava Turkish Meat Stew

Ingredients

  • 750 grams diced meat
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 3 large bell peppers
  • 2 medium onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon pepper paste
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup meat broth
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Preparation

  1. Partially cook the meat in a pressure cooker until half-done.

  2. Transfer the meat and all other ingredients to a baking dish and mix well.

  3. Add butter and meat broth on top.

  4. Cover the dish with parchment paper and a lid, then bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes.
