Fish Tray with Vegetables
Ingredients
- 1 kg fish fillet
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon fish spice
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed chili
- 1/4 teaspoon ground sumac
- 3 tablespoons butter
Vegetable mix
- 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 large potatoes, sliced
- 1 medium lemon, sliced
Sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
Preparation
Position the rack in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 180°C. Prepare a medium-sized oven dish suitable for serving.
Place the fish in a wide dish and sprinkle with salt, pepper, fish spice, crushed chili, and ground sumac. Mix to coat the fish with the spices.
In a wide skillet, place the butter and heat over medium heat. Add the fish fillet and cook until the bottom is golden brown. Flip the fish using a wide metal spoon and continue cooking gently until golden on all sides.
For the vegetable mix, place the sliced red bell pepper, green bell pepper, onion, potatoes, and lemon in the oven dish. Arrange the fish pieces on top of the vegetables.
For the sauce, in a small bowl, combine the tomato paste, water, and salt. Stir with a fork to mix well. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and fish, then cover the dish with aluminum foil.
