Turkish Baked Rice Pudding

Ingredients

  • Half a cup of rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 3 tablespoons of starch
  • 1 packet of vanilla
  • Half a cup of milk

Preparation

  1. Put the water and rice in a pot and cook until the water is absorbed

  2. Add the milk and vanilla to the cooked rice

  3. In a bowl, mix half a cup of milk and the starch

  4. To the boiling mixture, first add the sugar, then the starch mixture

  5. Cook for 10 minutes

  6. Pour the cooked pudding into oven-safe bowls

  7. Place the bowls in a tray and fill the tray with water up to half the height of the bowls

  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until the top is browned
