Turkish Baked Rice Pudding
Ingredients
- Half a cup of rice
- 2 cups of water
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 liter of milk
- 3 tablespoons of starch
- 1 packet of vanilla
- Half a cup of milk
Preparation
Put the water and rice in a pot and cook until the water is absorbed
Add the milk and vanilla to the cooked rice
In a bowl, mix half a cup of milk and the starch
To the boiling mixture, first add the sugar, then the starch mixture
Cook for 10 minutes
Pour the cooked pudding into oven-safe bowls
Place the bowls in a tray and fill the tray with water up to half the height of the bowls
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until the top is browned
