Traditional Turkish Halva with Flour and Tahini
Ingredients
- 100g butter
- 1 teacup vegetable oil
- 2 cups flour
- 1 small cup tahini
Syrup
- 2 cups milk
- 1.5 cups granulated sugar
Preparation
For the syrup, mix sugar and milk in a pot and heat until it reaches boiling point, then remove from heat.
In a pot, add the butter and oil; once the butter melts, add the flour and roast until the color changes.
Add the syrup to the roasted flour mixture and stir quickly by mashing.
Add the tahini, mix well, and the halva is ready to serve.
