Baked Apples with Walnuts and Cinnamon
Ingredients
- 4 apples
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1 TBS brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 4 tsp butter
- 3/4 cup water
Preparation
Preheat oven to 180°C
Remove apple stickers and wash apples well then cut off the top part of the apple
Use a corer to remove the inner seed pod of the apple and keep the apples aside
Crush or chop walnuts roughly, place into a bowl with sugar and cinnamon, and mix well
Place the apples into an oven-proof tray and stuff them with the mixture
Add 1 teaspoon of butter on each apple and close with the apple lid
Pour water into the baking dish
Bake apples for 25-30 minutes, adjusting time based on apple size until they are wrinkled and tender
Serve hot or cooled with the syrup sauce that has formed at the bottom of the dish
