Baked Garlic Chili Tofu
Ingredients
- 1 block extra firm tofu
- 2 tablespoons tamari
- 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
- 2 teaspoons chili garlic sauce
Preparation
Set oven to 400°F.
After pressing tofu, cut into even cubes and place in a bowl or Tupperware container.
Add remaining ingredients and gently toss together if using a bowl, or seal and shake if using a container to evenly coat tofu.
Remove tofu and place on a lined baking sheet, ensuring cubes aren't touching.
Bake for at least 25 minutes or until edges have browned.
Remove from oven and serve as desired.
Serving suggestion
Sauté veggies and vegan Yakisoba noodles with a mixture of peanut butter, soy sauce, garlic chili sauce, water, maple syrup, garlic powder, and ginger powder.
Add the baked tofu, heat through, and serve.
Notes
Press tofu for at least 30 minutes before use to remove excess moisture.
