Easy 3-Ingredient Flax Bread
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Flaxseeds
- 1/3 Cup Psyllium Husk
- 2 Tsp Baking Powder
- 1 Cup Hot Water
Optional additions
- Pinch of Salt
- 1 Tsp Cumin, Vegetable Stock Seasoning or Curry Powder
Preparation
Preheat oven to 180°C and line a baking tray.
Process flaxseeds until fine and flour-like. Add psyllium husk, baking powder and optional seasonings and process until fine.
Transfer to a bowl, pour in hot water and stir. Once the mixture begins to hold, knead it into a ball; the dough will be on the wetter side.
Place dough on the lined baking tray and mould it into a loaf. You can mould into other shapes such as buns, but be mindful of the difference in baking time.
Bake in the oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the outside is crispy and a skewer comes out clean. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Slice and enjoy.
Notes
Store in the fridge for up to one week.
Double the recipe for a larger loaf and adjust cooking time as needed.
