Simple Homemade British Scones

Ingredients

  • 500 grams pastry flour
  • 2 packets baking powder
  • 250 ml cold milk
  • 150 grams cold butter, cubed
  • Pinch of salt
  • 80 grams sugar

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients together until combined.

  2. Add the butter and mix until a uniform dough forms.

  3. Add the milk and continue kneading until a firm dough is obtained.

  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and shape the scones, ensuring a minimum thickness of 1.5 cm.

  5. Bake in the oven at 180°C for 12 minutes.
