Soft Turkish Cheese Pastry
Ingredients
Dough
- 1.5 cups warm milk
- 0.5 cup water
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg white
- Half packet fresh yeast
- Approximately 3.5-4 cups flour
Filling
- White cheese
- Kaşar cheese or another melting cheese
- 1 egg white
- Half bunch parsley
For brushing
- 2 egg yolks
- Sesame seeds
Preparation
Knead the dough and let it rise for 30 minutes.
Take small pieces of dough, place about 1 teaspoon of the cheese mixture inside, and shape them.
Mix 2 egg yolks and brush over the pastries.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake at 200 degrees Celsius until done.
Tips
You can use other fillings like potato instead of cheese.
For better results, use a melting cheese such as kaşar or similar.
