Bbq Tofu with Vegetables and Noodles
Ingredients
- 2/3 package extra firm organic tofu
- 1 tsp oil
- 1.5 cups steamed broccoli florets cut into small pieces
- 1 cup edamame
- 1 cup cooked noodles
- Cilantro, sauteed mushrooms, sesame seeds, scallions, red chili flakes for garnish
Sauce
- 2 tbsp gochujang sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp water
- 1.5 tbsp agave or maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
Preparation
Cut tofu into thin pieces.
Add oil to a large pan and place tofu so the pieces are not overlapping. You may need to do this in 2 batches.
Cook until lightly browned (about 5 minutes depending on thickness), then flip and cook another 3 minutes.
Meanwhile, whisk together the sauce in a bowl.
When tofu is cooked, add the sauce and toss to coat.
Serve with vegetables and noodles.
Tips
The sauce permeates the tofu and caramelizes when added.
Gochujang sauce can be found online or in most grocery stores and adds tanginess and flavor.
Pair the tofu with your choice of vegetables and noodles for a versatile meal.
