Grilled Marinated Beef with Sauce
Ingredients
Marinade
- 1 kg beef, cut into large pieces 2-3 cm thick
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2-3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 piece palm sugar
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- A little oil
- 1-2 tablespoons seasoning powder
- Sliced ginger
Sauce
- Coriander roots
- Coriander leaves
- 1 tablespoon toasted and pounded rice
- 1-2 cloves garlic
- 1-2 tablespoons fish sauce, to taste
- Juice of 2 limes
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 piece palm sugar, pounded and mixed with a little water
- Chili flakes, to taste
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 large onion, sliced thinly
Preparation
Mix all marinade ingredients, including sliced ginger, and marinate the beef overnight.
Pound the coriander roots and garlic until smooth.
Add fish sauce, palm sugar, brown sugar, toasted and pounded rice, and lime juice to the mixture.
Stir in chili sauce and oyster sauce.
Add chopped coriander leaves, chili flakes to taste, and sliced onion.
Grill the marinated beef on low heat for 20-30 minutes until cooked through.
Tips
If the dish tastes bland, add a little salt to taste.
