Brazilian Lemon Mousse with Biscuit Layers
Ingredients
- 2 cans sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cans heavy cream
- 3 large lemons, juiced
Optional additions
- Maria biscuits (optional)
- milk (optional)
Preparation
Blend sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, and lemon juice in a blender until smooth
Spread a thin layer of the mousse in the bottom of a serving dish
Soak Maria biscuits in milk and arrange a layer over the mousse
Add another layer of mousse
Repeat the biscuit and mousse layers as desired, ending with a final layer of mousse
Chill in the refrigerator until set
Garnish with lemon zest
Tips
Use 3 large lemons for juicing; if your lemons are small, use more to ensure the mousse sets properly
The biscuit layers are optional; the dessert is delicious with or without them
