Brazilian Lemon Mousse with Biscuit Layers

Ingredients

  • 2 cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cans heavy cream
  • 3 large lemons, juiced

Optional additions

  • Maria biscuits (optional)
  • milk (optional)

Preparation

  1. Blend sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, and lemon juice in a blender until smooth

  2. Spread a thin layer of the mousse in the bottom of a serving dish

  3. Soak Maria biscuits in milk and arrange a layer over the mousse

  4. Add another layer of mousse

  5. Repeat the biscuit and mousse layers as desired, ending with a final layer of mousse

  6. Chill in the refrigerator until set

  7. Garnish with lemon zest

Tips

  1. Use 3 large lemons for juicing; if your lemons are small, use more to ensure the mousse sets properly

  2. The biscuit layers are optional; the dessert is delicious with or without them
