Lazy Manty or Cabbage Rolls
Ingredients
Dough
- 400g flour
- 1 egg
- 200-250ml water
- 0.5 tsp salt
Filling
- 500g minced meat
- 2-3 onions
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- vegetable oil to taste
Sauce
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- potatoes (quantity not specified)
- water as needed
- salt to taste
- spices to taste
Preparation
Let the dough rest in a bag for 20 minutes.
Prepare the filling by mixing minced meat with finely chopped onion, salt, pepper, and vegetable oil.
Fry onion and carrot until soft for the sauce.
Add tomato paste to the fried vegetables.
Add potatoes, pour in water, bring to a boil, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Roll out the dough, spread the filling over it, roll into a log, and cut into pieces to form roll-ups.
Add the roll-ups to the sauce, pour sauce over them, and simmer for 30-40 minutes.
