Olive and Herb Infused Bread
Ingredients
Dough
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3 tablespoons corn oil
- 1 cup very warm water
Filling
- 8 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon black olives, sliced
- 1 tablespoon green olives, sliced
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon rosemary
Preparation
In a mixer bowl, put the flour, salt, baking powder, yeast, oregano, garlic powder, oil, and water. Attach the dough hook and knead for a few minutes to get a smooth dough, cover it and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Bring 2 trays and put 2 tablespoons of olive oil in each.
Divide the dough into two halves, place each in a tray, press with fingertips to spread to the edges, spread the remaining olive oil, olives, and herbs over it. Cover and let rest in a warm place for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 200°C, bake for 12-15 minutes until puffed and golden brown, let cool slightly before serving.
