Delicious Homemade Mango Jam Made from Fresh Mangoes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped mango
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • cardamom

Preparation

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tsp lemon juice to a boil over high heat.

  2. Turn heat down to medium and add 2 cups of chopped mango.

  3. Cook for approximately 5 minutes to soften the mango and then mash with a fork or potato masher.

  4. Continue cooking until jam has thickened.

  5. Add cardamom and turn off the stove.
