Classic Gluten-Free Vegan Apple Crisp

Ingredients

Filling

  • 6 cups sliced apples
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Topping

  • 1 1/2 cups gluten-free oats
  • 1/2 cup brown rice flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup melted vegan butter
  • 1/3 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  1. Grease a baking dish and preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Toss the sliced apples into the dish and mix with lemon juice and maple syrup.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine all the topping ingredients.

  4. Spread the topping mixture evenly over the apples.

  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes.

  6. Serve warm with ice cream or coconut whip.
