Easy Turkish Cheese Börek
Ingredients
Dough
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 5 cups flour
Layers
- 100 grams butter
- 1 tea glass vegetable oil
Filling
- 1 bowl ricotta cheese
- 1 bowl cheddar cheese
Preparation
Mix the dough ingredients together to form a smooth dough and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
Prepare the layer mixture by melting the butter and combining it with the vegetable oil.
Divide the dough into portions and roll each one out thinly on a floured surface.
Brush each dough layer with the butter-oil mixture.
Add the cheese filling between the layers of dough.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C until golden brown and crispy, about 20-30 minutes.
