Yeast-Free Crispy Dill Pastry
Ingredients
- 125 grams butter
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 eggs (1 yolk set aside for brushing)
- 1.5 tablespoons vinegar (grape vinegar used)
- 1.5 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1.5 packets baking powder
- 4 to 4.5 cups flour
- 1 bunch dill
Preparation
In a large bowl, mix the butter, vegetable oil, yogurt, one whole egg and the white of the second egg, vinegar, salt, sugar, and baking powder
Gradually add the flour and stir to form a soft dough
Chop the dill and knead it into the dough until well incorporated
Shape the dough into small balls or desired pastry shapes
Place the shaped pastries on a baking sheet and brush with the reserved egg yolk
Bake at 170°C until golden brown
