Mini Dill Pastry Buns
Ingredients
- 250 grams room temperature butter or margarine
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 packet fresh yeast
- 2 eggs (one yolk reserved for topping)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1.5 teaspoons salt
- Half bunch dill, finely chopped
- Approximately 6.5 cups flour (add until soft dough forms)
Topping
- 1 egg yolk
- Sesame seeds
- Nigella seeds
Preparation
In a mixing bowl, add all ingredients except flour and mix
Gradually add flour to form a soft dough; approximately 6.5 cups were used
Without resting the dough, tear off small pieces and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet; this makes two trays
Brush the tops with egg yolk
Sprinkle with sesame or nigella seeds
Let the dough rest in the tray for 20 minutes
Bake in a preheated 180°C oven until golden brown
