Mini Dill Pastry Buns

Ingredients

  • 250 grams room temperature butter or margarine
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 packet fresh yeast
  • 2 eggs (one yolk reserved for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • Half bunch dill, finely chopped
  • Approximately 6.5 cups flour (add until soft dough forms)

Topping

  • 1 egg yolk
  • Sesame seeds
  • Nigella seeds

Preparation

  1. In a mixing bowl, add all ingredients except flour and mix

  2. Gradually add flour to form a soft dough; approximately 6.5 cups were used

  3. Without resting the dough, tear off small pieces and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet; this makes two trays

  4. Brush the tops with egg yolk

  5. Sprinkle with sesame or nigella seeds

  6. Let the dough rest in the tray for 20 minutes

  7. Bake in a preheated 180°C oven until golden brown

  8. Enjoy
