Soft Turkish Pogaça Buns

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 packet fresh yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Approximately 5 cups flour (add as needed)

Optional fillings

  • Cheese filling
  • Mashed potatoes filling
  • Chocolate filling
  • Or plain

Preparation

  1. Mix all the dough ingredients together to form a soft dough.

  2. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.

  3. Shape the dough into desired forms, adding optional fillings if desired.

  4. Place the shaped dough in a baking tray and let it rise for 15 minutes.

  5. Brush the tops with egg yolk.

  6. Bake at 200 degrees Celsius until golden brown.
