Budget Malaysian Spiced Fried Chicken
Ingredients
- 4 whole chickens
- A handful of ground dried chili
- 10 stalks lemongrass, roughly chopped
- 2 heads garlic
- 3 large onions
- 1 large piece of ginger
- Galangal
- 2 tablespoons curry powder
- Turmeric powder
- 1 small packet cornstarch
- Half a grated coconut
- Curry leaves
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Salt to taste
- 1 egg
- Coriander seeds
- Cumin seeds
- White cumin seeds
Preparation
Blend the dried chili, lemongrass, garlic, onions, ginger, and galangal.
Toast the coriander seeds, cumin seeds, and white cumin seeds, then blend coarsely.
Mix all ingredients together with the chicken and marinate briefly.
Fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through.
