Crunchy Low-Carb Air-Fried Chicken Nuggets
Ingredients
- 1/2 cut da carb flatbread or bread crumbs of choice
- 1 egg
- Seasoning of choice
- 3 oz raw chicken breast
- Olive oil (for spraying)
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F and place flatbread on a sheet pan with a few sprays of olive oil until browned, about 4-6 minutes.
Whisk the egg in a small bowl, weigh the raw chicken breast, and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
Once the flatbread is cooked, break it into fine crumbs on a plate and add desired seasonings.
Dip the chicken pieces into the egg wash, then coat with the flatbread crumbs, and place directly into the air fryer basket.
Air fry at 400°F for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to brown evenly.
If using an oven instead, bake at 400°F for the same time or longer until crispy.
