Easy Homemade Peach Iced Tea for Summer

Ingredients

  • 5 peaches (about 500g)
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 4 tablespoons sugar (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Garnish

  • 2 peaches, for serving (optional)

Preparation

  1. Prepare ice cubes in a container or ice cube bag and freeze.

  2. Wash peaches, remove pits, and cut into slices.

  3. Bring peach slices, sugar, and 250 ml water to a boil in a pot, then simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes.

  4. Strain through a sieve into a bowl and let cool.

  5. Boil water and pour 500ml of boiling water and lemon juice over the black tea bags.

  6. Let the tea steep for about 3-4 minutes depending on desired strength.

  7. Remove tea bags and let the tea cool.

  8. Fill a large pitcher (at least 1.5L capacity) with ice cubes and peach slices.

  9. Pour in the cooled tea and cooled peach syrup, then add 500 ml of cold water.

  10. If desired, wash 2 more peaches, remove pits, and slice; add the peach slices to the iced tea and serve cold.
