Fettuccine with Shrimp and Mushrooms
Ingredients
- 1 packet fettuccine pasta
- 1 large chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon mustard paste
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 kg shrimp
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 10 sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup liquid cream
- 1 tablespoon mustard paste
- 1 cup water or broth
For serving
- Parmesan cheese
- Chopped parsley
Preparation
In a deep pot, heat a generous amount of water, a tablespoon of salt and a tablespoon of olive oil on high heat until boiling, add the pasta and let it boil until fully cooked.
Sprinkle the flour and a little black pepper on the shrimp and mix to coat completely.
In a wide skillet, put the butter and heat on medium heat, add the onion and stir for a minute or two.
Add the shrimp and stir until it turns golden.
Add the mushrooms and stir until softened. Add mustard paste, pepper, vinegar, lemon juice, and cream, stir on low heat for several minutes until the sauce thickens.
Drain the pasta and add it to the shrimp, stir to mix the ingredients and pour to serve. Sprinkle the parsley and serve immediately.
