Instant Red Lentil Dosa

Ingredients

  • 2 cups red lentils
  • 3 cups water
  • Salt to taste

Optional

  • Cheese (optional)

Preparation

  1. Wash the lentils

  2. Soak 2 cups of red lentils in 2 cups of water and salt to taste for at least 10 minutes or longer if desired

  3. Blend in a high-speed processor, adding another cup of water to achieve dosa consistency

  4. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat

  5. Pour a ladleful of batter and spread into a thin circle

  6. Cook until the bottom is golden and crisp, then flip and cook the other side until done

Tips

  1. Serve hot with or without cheese added on top

  2. Longer soaking time can improve the texture of the dosa
