Malaysian Spicy Shrimp Stir-Fry
Ingredients
- 1 kg live shrimp
- 10 small red onions, finely chopped
- 7 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 inch ginger, finely chopped
- 7 bird's eye chilies, finely chopped
- 7 red chilies, blended
- 4 tablespoons chili sauce
- 3 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 4 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 eggs
- 2 stalks chives
- Oil
- Salt, to taste
- Sugar, to taste
- MSG, to taste
Preparation
Fry the shrimp until wilted, then remove.
Sauté the onions and ginger until golden and slightly crispy.
Add the bird's eye chilies and blended chilies. Stir, then add the chili sauce, tomato sauce, and oyster sauce. Stir briefly, and add salt, sugar, and MSG if desired.
When the mixture is well combined, add the shrimp and chives. Stir and flip. Turn off the heat, break the eggs, and stir quickly to mix with the shrimp.
Tips
Increase the heat when adding the shrimp.
