Fried Meatballs with Spicy Basil Sauce

Ingredients

  • 10 beef meatballs
  • 2 bunches basil leaves
  • 1 green onion stalk
  • 1 teaspoon powdered stock
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking oil as needed
  • A little water

Spice paste

  • 15 red bird's eye chilies
  • 10 green bird's eye chilies
  • 4 shallots
  • 1 large garlic clove

Optional

  • Lime to taste (optional)

Preparation

  1. Boil water, then boil the meatballs until they expand and cook, remove and drain.

  2. Heat cooking oil, then fry the beef meatballs briefly, remove and drain.

  3. Heat some oil, sauté the ground spices until fragrant and cooked. Then add the meatballs, seasonings, and a little water. Stir well and cook until dry and absorbed.

  4. After that, add green onion and basil leaves, stir well and cook until wilted. Then taste, if it's right, remove and serve warm with a squeeze of lime (optional).
