Delicious Homemade Spanish Churros
Ingredients
- 40 grams butter
- 125 milliliters water
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- a pinch of salt
- 75 grams all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
Preparation
Prepare a pot and add water, salt, sugar, and butter. Cook until it boils.
Turn off the heat, add the flour, and mix well.
Turn on the heat again and cook for about 2 minutes. Then let it cool.
Add the egg and stir with a wooden spatula until smooth.
Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a nozzle, and cut the tip.
Heat oil in a pan.
Extrude the dough into the hot oil in 2-3 cm pieces by pressing and cutting with scissors.
Fry until golden and cooked through.
Remove from oil and let cool slightly.
Serving suggestions
Serve with a sprinkle of powdered sugar or dipped in melted chocolate.
