Sweet Malaysian Cucur Kembong

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup water

Preparation

  1. Cook the cooking oil, sugar, and water until boiling.

  2. Turn off the heat.

  3. Carefully add the flour and stir with a spoon until the mixture becomes a smooth dough; let it cool.

  4. Knead the dough lightly.

  5. Portion the dough into even-sized balls, similar to making onde-onde.

  6. Rest the shaped dough for about 10 minutes.

  7. Deep fry in medium heat until done.
