Turkish Potato Meatballs
Ingredients
- 250g ground beef
- 4-5 potatoes
- 2 tablespoons bread crumbs or finely ground bread
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 onion
- Desired spices and parsley (optional)
- Half a bottle of plain soda water
- Half a teaspoon baking soda
Preparation
Grate the potatoes and onion using the fine side of the grater and squeeze out the water thoroughly.
In a suitable bowl, add all the meatball ingredients except the onion and potatoes, mix well, and knead thoroughly.
Add the squeezed potatoes and onion to the mixture and knead again.
If possible, let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Cook the meatballs in a pan with a little oil, browning both sides. You can use liquid oil or cook with minimal oil if preferred.

This recipe yields a large quantity and is highly recommended.
