Vegan Baked Cauliflower Wings with Sauce
Ingredients
Crust
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons rice flour
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- white pepper, to taste
Sauce
- 2.5 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon tamari or soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon vegan Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1-2 tablespoons water
- hot sauce, to taste
For cooking
- oil, for brushing
- 1 teaspoon avocado oil
Preparation
Mix the crust ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
Mix the sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
Preheat the oven to 495°F.
Cut a small head of cauliflower into florets and coat them well with the crust mixture.
Lay the coated florets on a non-stick baking sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven, brush the cauliflower with oil, flip the florets, and bake for another 5 minutes.
Heat a pan with 1 teaspoon avocado oil.
Pour the sauce into the pan slowly to avoid splashing.
Add the baked cauliflower florets to the pan.
Coat the florets with the sauce until well combined.
Serve immediately.
Tips
Add hot sauce to the sauce for a spicy kick, to taste.
