Maple Tahini Stove Top Granola

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup tahini (make sure it’s runny, I used @soomfoods)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (you can use more if you like your granola more sweet)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt or more to taste

Optional additions

  • cacao nibs
  • pepitas
  • raisins

Preparation

  1. Add oats to a large skillet or sauté pan over medium heat.

  2. Stir and toast oats for about 1-2 minutes.

  3. Add in seasonings and salt and toss to combine then add in remaining ingredients.

  4. Lower heat slightly, and continue to stir to prevent granola from burning for about 5-6 minutes.

  5. Lower heat again to low and allow to continue toasting while stirring for an additional 3-5 minutes.

  6. Granola should have a toasted golden color to them.

  7. Remove from heat and allow granola to completely cool before storing.

  8. Granola will continue to crisp up as it cools.
