Homemade Maple Tahini Granola

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt or more to taste

Optional add-ins

  • Cacao nibs
  • Pepitas
  • Raisins

Preparation

  1. Add oats to a large skillet or sauté pan over medium heat

  2. Stir and toast oats for about 1-2 minutes

  3. Add in seasonings and salt and toss to combine then add in remaining ingredients

  4. Lower heat slightly, and continue to stir to prevent granola from burning for about 5-6 minutes

  5. Lower heat again to low and allow to continue toasting while stirring for an additional 3-5 minutes

  6. Granola should have a toasted golden color

  7. Remove from heat and allow granola to completely cool before storing

  8. Granola will continue to crisp up as it cools
