Soft and Fluffy Steamed Buns
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons instant yeast
- 2 tablespoons condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup warm water
- a pinch of salt
Preparation
Combine yeast, warm water, and sugar in a bowl, stir, and let sit for 10 minutes until foamy
In a different bowl, add flour, condensed milk, salt, and cooking oil; mix well
Add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture and knead until a dough forms; shape into balls, yielding about 10 pieces
Let the dough rise, covered with plastic
Roll out the dough, add filling, and let it rise again
Steam the buns for 10 minutes on medium heat
Wrap the steamer lid with a cloth
After steaming, remove the steamer pot first, then open the lid to prevent wrinkling
Tips
Do not steam longer than 10 minutes to avoid the buns wrinkling
