Savory Fried Chicken Donuts
Ingredients
- 2 large pieces chicken fillet
- 1 medium onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 green bell peppers
- 1 large boiled potato
- 1 teaspoon mixed spices
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
Coating
- 1/2 cup starch
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
Sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
Preparation
Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces
In a food processor with the steel blade, place the chicken, onion, garlic, pepper and process until smooth
Add the potato, spices, salt, pepper, breadcrumbs and mix to get a homogeneous mixture
In a plate, place the egg and sprinkle some salt and pepper
Shape the mixture into donut shapes
Place it in the fridge for several hours or in the freezer to set
Dip the donuts in the starch to coat lightly
Dip the donuts in the egg to coat
Dip the donuts in the breadcrumbs to coat well
In a wide skillet, heat the oil to about half a centimeter high
Fry the donuts on all sides until golden
In a bowl, mix ketchup with mayonnaise and hot sauce, and serve alongside the donuts
