Chocolate Chia Granola Breakfast Treat

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 100 ml almond milk
  • 1 tsp cacao
  • 1/2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • handful of nuts and seeds
  • flaked almonds
  • cacao nibs
  • few sultanas
  • teaspoon of cacao
  • heaped teaspoon of maple syrup
  • square of dark chocolate
  • sea salt
  • yogurt
  • sliced banana
  • frozen raspberries
  • drizzle of almond butter

Preparation

  1. Mix 1tbsp chia seeds with 100ml almond milk, 1 tsp of cacao and 1/2 tsp maple syrup. Whisk to make sure you get out any of the clumps of cacao.

  2. Leave overnight in the fridge.

  3. In the morning toast 1/4 cup oats in a pan for a minute or two.

  4. Add a handful of nuts and seeds, flaked almonds, cacao nibs and a few sultanas to the pan and toast for a further minute.

  5. Turn off the heat and add a teaspoon of cacao and a heaped teaspoon of maple syrup, a square of dark chocolate and give everything a good stir.

  6. Spread out on parchment paper to cool and sprinkle with sea salt.

  7. It should be getting crispy after about 10 minutes so you can break it into clusters.

  8. Add the chia to your glasses, then some granola, and then some yogurt.

  9. Top it with more granola, sliced banana, frozen raspberries and a drizzle of almond butter.

  10. And enjoy!
