Indonesian Style Wonton Soup
Ingredients
- 150 grams ground chicken
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon tapioca flour
- A bit of egg white
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Wonton wrappers as needed
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- A bit of soy sauce
Soup components
- Chicken stock as needed
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Green onions for garnish
- Fried shallots for garnish
Preparation
In a bowl, mix all ingredients except the wonton wrappers until well combined.
Take a wonton wrapper, add a portion of the mixture, seal with a little water, and set aside.
Cook the wontons by frying over low heat or boiling in hot water, do not boil for too long.
For the soup, heat the chicken stock and add salt and pepper to taste.
Add the boiled wontons to the soup.
Garnish with chopped green onions and fried shallots, then serve.
Tips
This recipe can be made non-halal by substituting pork for chicken.
Store wontons in the freezer for later use in noodle dishes or as a snack with chili sauce.
