Malaysian Banana-Wrapped Cendol Dessert
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 5.5 cups coconut milk
- 1 cup cornstarch plus 2 tablespoons
- 1 cup cendol
- Banana leaves as needed
Preparation
Combine all ingredients except cendol.
Cook over low heat, constantly stirring to avoid lumps, until thick and shiny.
Add cendol and stir until the mixture bubbles.
Wrap in banana leaves while the mixture is still hot.
Allow to cool completely before serving cold.
