Vegan Brioche French Toast

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of Vegan Brioche
  • 3/4 cup non-dairy milk
  • 3 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt

Preparation

  1. Lightly toast the vegan brioche slices or leave them uncovered for 1 hour until slightly stale.

  2. Blend the non-dairy milk and remaining ingredients in a cup blender to prepare the batter.

  3. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle on medium heat and brush with a thin coat of oil.

  4. Dip the bread in the batter until well coated, then transfer to the heated pan or griddle.

  5. Fry for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden, flipping when they easily release from the pan.

Serving suggestions

  1. Serve with fruit, powdered sugar, and/or maple syrup for dipping.
