Brazilian Sliceable Milk Candy

Ingredients

  • 1 (395g) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk

Preparation

  1. Place sweetened condensed milk, sugar, and milk in a heavy-bottomed saucepan

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until well cooked, creamy, thickened, and pulling away from the bottom of the pan

  3. Remove the saucepan from heat

  4. Stir rapidly with a spoon until it loses its shine

  5. Grease a work surface or baking sheet with butter

  6. Pour the candy onto the buttered surface and shape into a square

  7. Cut into desired shapes with a knife while warm

  8. Let cool completely and serve
