Classic Brazilian Chocolate Flan Pudding

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 2 cans milk (use the empty condensed milk can to measure)
  • 1 cup cocoa powder

Caramel sauce

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup boiling water

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, place the sugar and heat over low heat until a light caramel forms

  2. Add the boiling water and stir until the sugar dissolves

  3. Pour the caramel into a 19 cm (7.5 inch) diameter bundt pan and set aside

Instructions

  1. In a blender, blend the eggs, condensed milk, milk, and cocoa powder until smooth

  2. Pour the mixture into the caramelized mold and cover with aluminum foil

  3. Bake in a preheated medium oven until set (between 40 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on the size and power of your oven)

  4. Let cool completely and refrigerate for at least 4 hours

  5. Unmold and serve cold
