Moist Steamed Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

Chocolate mixture

  • 1 cup cooking oil
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup condensed milk
  • 1 cup fresh milk
  • 1 cup cocoa powder

Dry

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon baking soda

Egg mixture

  • 3 eggs

Preparation

  1. Mix the chocolate mixture ingredients evenly using a hand mixer

  2. Cook the chocolate mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until it boils and small bubbles appear, then turn off the heat and let it cool

  3. Once cooled, gradually add the dry ingredients while stirring

  4. Add the eggs and mix until well combined using a mixer

  5. Bring water to a boil in a steamer

  6. Grease the baking mold with oil

  7. Pour the batter into the mold, filling it three-quarters full

  8. Wrap the steamer lid with a cloth to prevent water drips

  9. Steam the cake for 15 to 18 minutes in a small mold or 45 minutes in an 8x8 inch pan
