Brazilian Sponge Cake with Eggs and Sugar

Ingredients

  • 8 whole eggs
  • 10 tablespoons sugar (225 g)
  • 10 tablespoons flour (225 g)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180Β°C

  2. Beat the eggs with the sugar until frothy, using low mixer speed

  3. Gradually add the sifted flour, being careful not to overmix

  4. Pour the batter into a 30 cm diameter baking pan greased with margarine

  5. Bake for 35 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean and dry
