Paneer Tikka Open Sandwich

Ingredients

  • Besan sev
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves with stems
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • Mint leaves
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • Water
  • Paneer, cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 tablespoon curd
  • Tikka masala
  • Kasuri methi
  • Crushed black pepper
  • Chopped capsicum
  • Chopped onion
  • Bread slices
  • Grated cheese
  • Red chilli powder

Preparation

  1. Take a mixer jar to make chutney and add some besan sev

  2. Add salt as per taste and grind it

  3. Add some coriander along with stems

  4. Add 2 chopped green chillies

  5. Add some mint leaves

  6. Add juice of 1/2 lime

  7. Add some water and grind to make green chutney

  8. Transfer the chutney to a bowl

  9. Take a mixing bowl to marinate paneer and add paneer cut into small cubes

  10. Mix 1/2 tablespoon curd with some tikka masala and add it to the bowl

  11. Add salt as per taste

  12. Add some kasuri methi

  13. Add some crushed black pepper

  14. Mix everything well to coat the paneer

  15. Take bread slices and apply butter on both sides

  16. Apply green chutney on the bread

  17. Place 4 marinated paneer cubes on each bread slice

  18. Place a piece of chopped onion on one side of the paneer and chopped capsicum on the other

  19. Add some grated cheese on each paneer cube

  20. Heat a pan on medium heat to grill the sandwiches

  21. Place the sandwich on the pan and cover with a lid

  22. Cook on slow to medium heat until the cheese melts and the sandwich turns golden-brown from the base

  23. Sprinkle some red chilli powder on it

  24. Cut the sandwich into squares

  25. Transfer the pieces to a serving plate

  26. Top with some green chutney and a coriander leaf

  27. Serve and enjoy warm

Grilling tips

  1. For grilling in a griller or oven, place the sandwiches in the preheated oven on the center shelf and grill at 200 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes
