Easy Portuguese Savory Cheese Tart

Ingredients

Crust

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) oil
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped, optional
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Filling

  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Ham
  • Tomato, seeded and diced
  • Onion, finely chopped
  • Hard-boiled egg, chopped
  • Parsley, chopped
  • Green onions, chopped
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  1. Blend eggs, milk, oil, and onion in a blender for 1 minute

  2. Add flour and oregano; blend until combined

  3. Stir in baking powder

  4. Mix all filling ingredients and set aside

Baking

  1. Pour half the batter into a greased medium baking pan

  2. Spread the filling evenly over the batter

  3. Pour the remaining batter on top

  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C (350Β°F) for about 35 minutes

  5. Baking time may vary depending on the oven, so keep an eye on it
