Fettuccine with Shrimp and Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 1 packet fettuccine pasta
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon mustard paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 kg shrimp
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 10 mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup liquid cream
  • 1 tablespoon mustard paste
  • 1 cup water or broth

For serving

  • Parmesan cheese
  • Chopped parsley

Preparation

  1. In a deep pot, heat a generous amount of water, a tablespoon of salt and a tablespoon of olive oil on high heat until boiling, add the pasta and let it boil until fully cooked.

  2. Sprinkle the flour and a little black pepper on the shrimp and stir to coat completely.

  3. In a wide skillet, place the butter and heat on medium heat, add the onion and stir for one or two minutes.

  4. Add the shrimp and stir until it turns golden brown.

  5. Add the mushrooms and stir until softened. Add the mustard paste, pepper, vinegar, lemon juice, and cream, stir on low heat for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.

  6. Drain the pasta and add it to the shrimp, stir to mix the ingredients and pour for serving. Sprinkle the parsley and serve immediately.
