Malaysian Spiced Fried Beef
Ingredients
- Beef (tender cut)
- Onion
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Turmeric root (optional)
- Beef curry powder
- Fish curry powder
- Kurma spice mix
- Sugar, size of a thumb (optional)
- Salt
Preparation
Mix the sliced beef with the sliced ingredients and add beef curry powder, fish curry powder, and kurma spice mix, then let it sit for 10 minutes.
Heat oil and sauté garlic, onion, ginger, and turmeric using some from the marinade.
Add the beef mixture and stir well until evenly combined.
Add a little water to create some gravy and cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef is cooked and tender.
Continue cooking until the oil separates.
Season with salt and sugar to taste and adjust until flavorful.
Turn off the heat and sprinkle with sliced onion and celery leaves.
