Cardamom Oats with Mango Pairing

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • 3 cardamom pods, lightly crushed with palm of your hand (or easier just use 1/4 tsp ground cardamom)
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup unsweetened soy milk

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a sauce pan and bring to a simmer.

  2. Allow oats to cook and thicken as desired, generally about 5 minutes.

  3. Before serving carefully fish out the cardamom pods (or else you’re in for a not so fun treat).
